Two academic streams Science and Commerce are running under the college as per the curriculum of Council of Higher Secondary, Orissa Uniform academic system through a micro-planning system designed by the faculty members has been adopted by all the Junior Colleges under Vikash for the systematic and organised functioning of the curriculum.
Catering to over 800 students and employing nearly 100 personnel the Institution provides a clean and invigorating environment conducive for higher education.

IIT Academy
To meet the challenges of this swift and ever-changing competitive world distinction of students in different Entrance Examinations is the demand of time. The institution offers value-added entrance coaching for JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCE, OJEE, OUAT, NEET, ICAR, NISER, SCRA and NDA for students of Science stream through IIT-Academy, a constituent of Vikash Knowledge Hub which is well-equipped with infrastructure and highly experienced entrance faculties. It has already established itself to record the best ranks in the State and National level Engineering, Medical and other competitive examinations. The unparalleled accounts of Vikash in academic excellence in the field of Entrance for the last ten years has been the talk all over.
The institute’s unflinching success is an outcome of planned strategies initiated by its Professional and experienced Administration, young and dynamic Directors and a large volume of valuable study materials prepared by resourcefully ripen faculties who have achieved expertise in their respective fields.
The classrooms of entrance coaching are fully airy and vibrant with digital smart boards in which highly contextual, activity-based and result–oriented teaching methods are being applied.
Various tests based on the classroom teaching are conducted regularly on weekends. All the tests are planned in such a way that the students can acquaint themselves with latest pattern of different competitive examinations.
The academic performance of the students after each test is recorded; scrutinized and accordingly extra study hours are allocated for weak performers where they get all opportunities to clarify their doubts. Simultaneously good performers are also given required attention for more improvement. Students applied for long term Entrance Coaching at the time of admission are offered Crash Course free of cost till appearing the Entrance Examinations.

CPT (Common Proficiency Test) Coaching
Vikash is committed to provide coaching to the students related to accounts and finance stream by providing thorough knowledge of subjects and assist them to prepare for success in various examinations like, C.A, CFP, CPT, CPA, etc. of national and international recognition. Faculties of great repute from ICAI were appointed as a part time facilitator for the CA and CPT coaching. Through such coaching an attempt has been made to provide a solid foundation on which students can successfully build their career and enhance their studies. It also imparts world class training and professional development opportunities creating global professionals.
Examination
Periodic assessment at college level is indicative of scholastic achievement. The outcome enables the teachers to take corrective measures to accord due attention to subjects and topics in which the students need additional assistance.
Uniform examination schedule adopted by all the campuses act as a checkpoint for the organized completion of the prescribed syllabus.
Apart from Cycle Tests, Terminal Examinations are conducted twice each year. Annual Examination for the Ist yr students and Pre-Board Examination for 2nd year students conducted at college level fine tune them for the final Board Examination. Results of all the examinations are intimated to the parents through SMS and progress report.
Remedial Measures
To identify the problems of the students and nurture their talents, personal care and attention are the key words in its teaching methodology. Limited class strength allows the teachers to offer the same to students that help the way they enjoy their studies. Being an ISO certified institution it is abide by the ISO norms to set up remedial measures in the form of regular follow up after every examination through review analysis in a meeting presided by ISO (MR) and Principal taking the views of the subject experts and discussing on strategies planned by them for all the students with a need based approach is an important aspect to check the performance of the students.
Special attention to Slow learners as well as High achievers is also given by conducting extra practice classes in morning and evening hours under the strict supervision of the subject experts and they are motivated to excel in their examinations. The specially trained teachers with diagnostic skills are round the clock made themselves available for dealing with slow learners.
